Who I Am
I’m Dr. Avi Patel, a dentist and educator based in Austin, TX.Â
I graduated from NYU College of Dentistry, but my career took some unexpected turns that shaped who I am today.
Like many dentists, I started out doing bread-and-butter dentistry, but I quickly realized something was missing. I was stuck in the grind, feeling burnt out, unfulfilled, and disconnected from the reason I got into dentistry in the first place.
That all changed when I made one decision: to invest in myself.
How Clear Aligners Changed Everything
I needed something that would reignite my passion for dentistry—something that was both fulfilling and profitable.Â
That’s when I discovered clear aligners.
Clear aligners weren’t just another procedure. They gave me a new sense of purpose, better patient relationships, and more freedom in my practice.Â
I went from feeling stuck to starting 50+ cases in my first six months.
But the only help I had early on was my mentor. I made mistakes, asked a ton of questions, and developed a simple, repeatable system to get predictable results with aligners.
Why I Created Clear Aligner Advisor →
When I cracked the code on how to simplify, systemize, and scale aligners, I knew I had to share it.
- I started coaching dentists 1-on-1 in Austin.
- Then, I began sharing tips on Instagram and YouTube.
- That led to Aligner Blueprint & Aligner Launchpad, helping over 200 dentists confidently integrate aligners into their practice.
- And for those who want hands-on, in-person training, I created the Clear Aligner Confidence Bootcamp—a small group, immersive experience designed to give doctors clarity and confidence with aligners in just two days.
- Now, I’ve expanded into the DSO space with Aligner Advantage—a scalable training & support system to help DSOs unlock the full potential of clear aligners.
I’ve been an associate in a DSO, so I understand the challenges and opportunities most groups are missing out on. Aligner Advantage bridges that gap.
