One of the best things about being a dentist is getting to know other dentists on a deeper level. So let me share a little about myself.
Hi, I'm Dr. Avi Patel
I graduated from NYU College of Dentistry and currently practice in Austin, TX.
MY STORY
I had a difficult start to my dental career. I was lost as an associate - still trying to figure out who I WAS as a dentist. I started to BURN OUT on the "bread and butter" procedures. I did not feel fulfilled - and I did not feel like I was making an impact on my patients like I had hoped.
After looking inward - investing in myself - and learning new procedures - I found a SPARK. That SPARK has been offering clear aligners to my patients.
My life has never been the same.
WHY DO I COACH?
I had several struggles when first starting out with clear aligners. What can I treat? What do I refer? How do I talk about treatment with patients that need it? How do I setup a Clear Aligner case? How do I get my team onboard? - these were the constant questions that I was asking myself.
Over time I reached out to other dentists - learned from them and from my experiences.
I then developed a system that led to me starting over 50 cases in my first 6 months of offering clear aligners.
NOW I look to help my colleagues navigate the early challenges with clear aligner implementation by arming them with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed!
